Discover the Region in a NEW way! This program encourages participants to see themselves as future regional leaders. Over the course of 4 months, this program develops leadership skills while connecting participants to other key leaders and issues that face the Region.
As an example, in early 2020 participants met bi-weekly over four months in different locations in the Triangle. One class involved a tour of UNC-TV studios and a deep dive into the social, economic and environmental trends and patterns for the region as a whole. We’ve enjoyed lunches prepared by the chefs of the Chatham County Community College Culinary School and experienced a full day onsite at Healing Transitions. In Durham, the class met at ReCity to consider the work of social entrepreneurs and apply the lean canvas model to a Regional issue.

“I loved the diversity of the class in terms of backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, occupations, interests and passions. Even though I have lived in the Triangle since I moved here for college, the Leadership Triangle Regional Program enabled me to visit places I either didn’t know existed or had not been in YEARS! For me, the most eye-opening class was our trip to Healing Transitions in Raleigh. What emotional stories and what an incredible program! I was so glad to be offered the opportunity to take part in this course!”
