30 YEARS OF LEADING THE REGION
Leadership Triangle is a non-profit organization established in 1992 to educate and promote regionalism across the separate communities of the Triangle. It does this through regional and leadership development classes, seminars and awards. Graduates of our programs are members of the Goodmon Fellowship, now encompassing 1000+ Goodmon Fellow Alumni across the Triangle.
“Leadership Triangle has emerged as a leading entity in the region, to help identify and groom future leaders, to identify and study regional issues, and to act as a clearinghouse of information for the Triangle. I ask that you step up to the plate and join the other sponsors in their support of Leadership Triangle. It is our responsibility to be involved, to help define our future, and to pass the baton to emerging leaders, in order to ensure the highest quality of life for the Triangle as we move into the 21st century.”

Joining Leadership Triangle was the best thing I could have ever done. It opened my eyes to all the things that are happening in my community. I also was able to connect with like-minded people that wanted to grow and support the Triangle.

“The Transforming Leaders Program was the most comprehensive leadership program I’ve ever been involved in. I learned how to be a more effective leader by understanding and working with the identities and styles of those I need to lead. The program delivered invaluable practical learning that I’ve been able to immediately apply.”

“Leadership Triangle’s Regional program not only deepened my commitment to our community, but gave me a holistic understanding of how the strengths and opportunities within this region intersect and feed each other. As a nonprofit leader and a dad who wants to see my daughters – the next generation of leaders and achievers! – invested in their community, there’s no other program that has better equipped, challenged, or inspired me.”
Development Manager, Youth Villages
The Leadership Triangle Regional Program is for people who are new to the Triangle or who want to be newly engaged within the Triangle community as a whole. In this cohort-based experience, we’ll engage in experiential learning on topics like the history of the Triangle, anti-racist community leadership, advocacy/local government, and the future of the workforce. As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to connect deeply with your cohort members as well as with 30+ invited speakers, representing the public, nonprofit, and private sectors within the full Triangle region (Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake Counties).
The Leadership Triangle Transforming Leaders Program is a fully immersive, cohort-based experience that combines a 360 assessment, peer coaching, in-course instruction, small group learning and out-of-class assignments for a transformational effect. It’s way beyond a one-off leadership workshop, and instead, prioritizes the learning that can happen when we show up consistently, week after week, with a group of peers and confidants hell bent on leveling up. But don’t take our word for it: 100% of 2021 participants say that the program gave them clarity on their values and purpose as a leader, and made them more effective team leaders.
The Leadership Triangle Executive Program is an opportunity for C-level executives and their spouses or partners, who are new to the region, or in new positions, to meet and learn from experienced top executives and community leaders. By engaging in conversations that address key regional topics, each participant will leave with a better understanding of their greater responsibility to the region and their potential impact on the community and within their company culture.
